Dr. Abdul Rahim (Late) was a highly respected physician, distinguished community leader, religiously devoted personality, and public servant whose life was dedicated to faith, humanity, public welfare, and the betterment of his community.
Born into a highly respected religious family, he developed a deep attachment to Islamic teachings, moral values, and service to humanity from an early age. Faith remained an important part of his personal character and public life. Humility, honesty, dignity, compassion, respect for others, and concern for those in need were among the qualities for which he was widely respected.
Medical & Humanitarian Service
As a physician, Dr. Abdul Rahim regarded medicine not merely as a profession, but as a means of serving humanity. He treated patients with compassion and dignity and remained particularly concerned about the needs of ordinary people, struggling families, and those facing difficult circumstances.
His commitment to serving people extended well beyond medical practice. Helping those in need, supporting the welfare of the community, and standing beside people during hardship were important parts of his life.
Public Leadership & Municipal Service
Dr. Abdul Rahim enjoyed exceptional respect and confidence among the people of Gakhar Mandi and surrounding areas.
A remarkable reflection of this public trust was that he was elected unopposed twice as Vice Chairman of the Municipal Committee, Gakhar Mandi, District Gujranwala.
Being elected unopposed on two separate occasions reflected the confidence, goodwill, and respect he had earned through his character and public service.
During his public life, he remained committed to civic welfare, community development, fairness, and the wellbeing of local residents. His approach to leadership was based on responsibility, dignity, and service rather than personal interest.
Religious Leadership
Religion and moral responsibility remained central to Dr. Abdul Rahim’s life. He served as President of Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan, Gakhar Mandi, representing the organization at the local level and contributing to religious and community affairs.
Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan has been a longstanding religious-political organization in Pakistan, and Allama Shah Ahmad Noorani was one of its most prominent historic leaders, serving as its president for decades.
Dr. Abdul Rahim’s association with the organization reflected his deep religious commitment and his desire to serve his community through moral, religious, and social leadership.
Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Mal Service
His dedication to social welfare was also recognized through his service as President of the Bait-ul-Mal Committee, Gakhar Mandi.
In this role, he remained connected with the welfare of deserving and vulnerable people and continued his lifelong commitment to helping those in need.
Whether serving as a doctor, municipal representative, religious leader, or social welfare figure, one principle remained constant throughout his life:
to serve people with sincerity, dignity, compassion, and responsibility.

Dr. Abdul Rahim’s life represented a rare combination of faith and public service, leadership and humility, professional responsibility and compassion.
His honesty, religious devotion, concern for humanity, public service, and commitment to social welfare left a lasting impression not only on his community but also on his family and future generations.
Although RJR Group and its affiliated businesses were established after his passing, the values that guide the Group are deeply inspired by the principles he lived by.
